Application for the Position of Cybersecurity Manager ![]() ![]() By looking deeper, one can notice a few similarities: both types want control. These two types seem to differ like night and day at first glance and various stereotypes have sadly strengthened that impression. This may sound absurd considering the natural positive outlook of the 2, but if you think about it this is precisely what often triggers our disintegration: a sudden connection to a negative feeling that we don't know how to handle because of our lack of experience in doing so. Nonetheless, I should also clarify that I believe that one can misuse this connection to 4s and fall into the same trap 4s tend to fall into losing oneself in the negativity. We keep trying to be superhuman by dismissing negative emotion as a flaw of human nature.Ĥs teach us that not only is it okay to be yourself, your real human self and experience all emotions but that it's fucking beautiful to be that way. A 2 integrating to 4 comes to realize that this actually hinders personal growth, as we become blindsided and lose our sense of self by not actually experiencing the emotions we consider to be negative. 2s spend their lives focusing on love and other emotions we deem as "positive" while wanting to get rid of any negativity. However, this is one of the lessons our type is not initially aware of, something that 4s know very well. The 2 will feel a need to nurture the 4 and take away the sadness, since accepting it as something useful in the big picture of things is almost incomprehensible to the 2, a type that spends a great deal of time hiding negative emotions and being ashamed of them. The melancholy of the 4 and the tendency to "fall in love" with sadness is something that a 2 will immediately notice. Both are image types and both are feelings-oriented, looking quite similar at first glance.īut there are certain glaring differences that add a mystery to this type in the eyes of a 2. If you are a 2 and know enough about 4s, I am pretty confident you will be able to relate when I say that it's a type I am very drawn towards to. Her image graces movie screens, fashion logos (hello, Versace!), and, of course, body art. Contemporary interpretations often paint her as a victim of circumstances and a beacon of resilience and survival. Modern interpretations and portrayals of Medusaįast forward to today, Medusa is a paradox of terror and fascination, a symbol of beauty, power, and tragedy. The ancient Greeks often used the ‘Gorgoneion’, the face of Medusa, to ward off evil. In sculptures, vases, and shields, her dreadful face with snake-infested hair, bulging eyes, and protruding tongue has served as a protective emblem. Medusa has been a potent figure in ancient art and literature. Depictions of Medusa in Ancient Art And Literature Her once golden hair was turned into a writhing mass of snakes, and her gaze became so terrible that anyone who looked directly at her was turned to stone. However, after being ravished by Poseidon, she was transformed by Athena into a monster as punishment. She served as a priestess in Athena’s temple and took a vow of chastity. In the most common version of her myth, Medusa was originally a beautiful maiden. Mythological origins of Medusa in Greek mythology Unlike her sisters, however, Medusa was mortal. She is one of the three Gorgon sisters – Medusa, Stheno, and Euryale – born to the ancient marine deities Phorcys and Ceto. Medusa is a well-known figure in Greek mythology, typically recognized for her hair of living snakes and her ability to turn people to stone with her gaze. Let’s dive into the captivating world of Medusa tattoos and uncover what they truly represent. Medusa tattoos are not just mere designs they carry a depth of meaning that bridges past and present, fantasy and reality. Those serpentine locks, the stare that could petrify, the tragic backstory – it’s no wonder she’s become a muse for many tattoo lovers around the globe. There you have it, a lot of interesting bits about the story of Medusa. ![]() The insult was not taken lightly, and revenge was finally served by turning the king into stone. At an earlier date in time, he had been refused hospitality. I’m talking about the idea of revenge, as he later traveled to meet Atlas, the king of Mauretania. The same is true for his helm of darkness, which provided a safe passage of escape from the other two Gorgon sisters.Īnother interesting meaning revolves around what happened after Perseus had beheaded Medusa. Though, the meaning behind this design can greatly vary.įor starters, there’s the admiration of Perseus’ charming tale of heroism you could attribute it to a symbol of protection. In today’s times, a Medusa tattoo isn’t the most popular choice among men, however it’s still quite prevalent. ![]() Yet, that wouldn’t stop the hero Perseus (son of Zeus) from taking his chances at beheading her which, he did successfully of course. Should a man’s eyes wander away from her greenish tinted skin to her eyes, he would be turned to stone. He once gentle eyes transformed into blood-shot glazes that not only disgusted, but also struck intense fear into any onlooker. After forgetting her vows, she was dealt with the brutal punishment of having venomous snakes for hair. What was once a golden-haired maiden with a future of marriage to Poseidon, quickly turned sour. However, with a single glaze in the eyes any man would be immediately transformed into stone. With a head of snakes instead of hair, it’s hard to resist a look. Meet the female monster from Ancient Greece mythology, and one of the Gorgon sisters. ![]() You can also create a pouch with some foil and duct tape. When it comes to the recipes, some of them are unbelievably simple, such as cutters, which you can craft by mixing duct tape with two files. ![]() For example, you can use your cutlery to chip away at the surfaces, meaning the ground or the walls, or in some cases, the fences. These items may run the gamut from wires to kitchen utensils, and they can all be used to create a new item or help you in your cause in their own separate way. The Basics Of CraftingĬrafting is one of the key mechanics in The Escapists, and one of the first things you should do while looking around is to look around for items. Well, most of the time, at least – there’s a chance you will still be caught and punished for impersonating a prison guard, but it gives you the best chances, especially early on, of exploring the outside world. That would be to steal a guard’s uniform – if you’re able to do this, that would allow you to wander around the prison grounds without having to worry about getting busted. Now that you know the basics and understand the importance of staying trouble-free early on, let’s move on to the first form of mischief you can pull off while incarcerated. Look for those places where guards don’t often head to, and take note of the times when nobody is watching you this is important, because the best time to escape is when there’s no one around to foil it. Observe the daily on-goings in the prison, and don’t act too suspiciously. That means you shouldn’t plan a quick escape – you should take your time and spend your first few in-game days in jail to acclimatize yourself to your surroundings. It’s oftentimes the first thing inmates think of when they get locked behind bars, but you shouldn’t rush into anything when playing this game. We recommend that you check out all the tips and tricks included in our The Escapists strategy guide, as we’ve tried to come up with an all-around guide to help you in your quest for freedom, whether you’re a first-time inmate or someone who’s been trying to break free from your in-game prison for quite some time. And there’s also a crafting mechanic, as your escape may be determined by the right combination of items as you try to bust yourself out of prison without getting caught.īefore planning your escape and thinking of what items you should be crafting, it’s important that you know what you’ll be getting yourself into. According to the game’s description, your role is that of an ex-con who’s back behind bars, and it’s up to you to come up with an escape “by any means necessary.” What kind of escape is this? The description does offer some options, such as causing a riot, digging a tunnel under the walls, or impersonating a guard by stealing their uniform and trying to blend in. ![]() In The Escapists 2, the Contraband Pouch is used in crafting the Durable Contraband Pouch, but less usable durability can be obtained if one upgrades the Contraband Pouch to its durable variant when it has only one use left.Team 17’s The Escapists is now available for your Android or iOS device, and it’s a new prison escape game where your job is to craft, steal, brawl, and ultimately break out of jail. If you have access to a lot of Foil, it may be worthwhile to create a Durable Contraband Pouch instead the Durable version takes 2 foil instead of 1 and 1 duct tape to craft, but lasts longer. It will not be confiscated in the Console and Mobile versions of the first game. It will lose 20% durability (25% on PC) every time you pass through a Contraband Detector with contraband other than the Pouch itself in your inventory. As long as you have one in your inventory, detectors won't go off, also, this is an essential for escapes, it is recommended to have one on hand. The Contraband Pouch is an item that allows you to carry contraband through Contraband Detectors without raising your heat. ![]() The browser has a minimalist interface, with icons for Quick Access, Bookmarks, and History located at the top of the page. His parents met when his father, a lawyer called to the bar in Kentucky, tried to help Jane's father and uncle avoid bankruptcy. He was the sixth of seven children of Jane ( née Lampton 1803–1890), a native of Kentucky, and John Marshall Clemens (1798–1847), a native of Virginia. Samuel Langhorne Clemens was born on November 30, 1835, in Florida, Missouri. He understood that the photographic printing process reversed the contents of an image in the same way backwards moveable type was reversed in printing to give clear copy. Biography Early life Samuel Clemens, age 15 holding metal type in a composing stick that spells out his first name. He was born shortly after an appearance of Halley's Comet, and predicted that his death would accompany it as well, dying a day after the comet was at its closest to Earth. Twain eventually paid all his creditors in full, even though his declaration of bankruptcy meant he was not required to do so. He filed for bankruptcy in the wake of these financial setbacks, but in time overcame his financial troubles with the help of Standard Oil executive Henry Huttleston Rogers. Twain earned a great deal of money from his writing and lectures, but invested in ventures that lost most of it, such as the Paige Compositor, a mechanical typesetter that failed because of its complexity and imprecision. His wit and satire, both in prose and in speech, earned praise from critics and peers, and Twain was a friend to presidents, artists, industrialists, and European royalty.Īlthough Twain initially spoke out in favor of American interests in the Hawaiian Islands, he later reversed his position, going on to become vice president of the American Anti-Imperialist League from 1901 until his death in 1910, coming out strongly against the Philippine-American War and colonialism. As his fame grew, he became a much sought-after speaker. The short story brought him international attention. He first achieved success as a writer with the humorous story " The Celebrated Jumping Frog of Calaveras County," which was published in 1865 it was based on a story that he heard at Angels Hotel in Angels Camp, California, where he had spent some time while he was working as a miner. He referred humorously to his lack of success at mining, turning to journalism for the Virginia City Territorial Enterprise. Soon after, Twain headed west to join Orion in Nevada. Twain then became a riverboat pilot on the Mississippi River, which provided him the material for Life on the Mississippi (1883). ![]() He served an apprenticeship with a printer early in his career, and then worked as a typesetter, contributing articles to his older brother Orion Clemens' newspaper. Twain was raised in Hannibal, Missouri, which later provided the setting for both Tom Sawyer and Huckleberry Finn. He was praised as the "greatest humorist the United States has produced," with William Faulkner calling him "the father of American literature." His novels include The Adventures of Tom Sawyer (1876) and its sequel, Adventures of Huckleberry Finn (1884), with the latter often called the " Great American Novel." Twain also wrote A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur's Court (1889) and Pudd'nhead Wilson (1894), and co-wrote The Gilded Age: A Tale of Today (1873) with Charles Dudley Warner.
